Ethnobotanical Garden At Ruhija

MUST through the Private sector foundation and under the AfDB HEIST project got 20.4 million UGX in September 2016 to establish an Ethnobotanical garden at Ruhija for breeding indigenous tree seedlings to sell to local communities and other stakeholders. 

The tree seedling centre is now up and running and has already sold off some indigenous trees. The expected income from this tree seedling project is about 5 million UGX annually. The BMCT has principally promised to be purchasing these tree seedlings annually from ITFC to supply to local communities around Bwindi.
