In 2017, ITFC submitted a proposal to Bwindi Mgahinga Conservation Trust that was funded. The project title whose fieldwork was completed is: Forest Climbers (lianas/vines) harvest implications on local people’s food security and Impacts on the Plants’ population dynamics in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, S.W Uganda. 

The project was funded by BMCT to the tune of 24 million UGX and aims at determining the implications of harvesting forest climbers (lianas and vines) on the local people’s food security around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Data analysis and report writing on this project is currently ongoing.
